Charts
A chart is a query or a spreadsheet range with a picture. It re-runs when opened, so what you see is the current data, never a stale export.
Making one
Charts → New. Pick the chart first — bar, line, area, pie, scatter, waterfall, tree, heatmap, twenty types — and it tells you the shape of data it needs. Then choose the source:
- SQL query over your datasets, with a starter query for the chosen chart and the dataset names alongside.
- Spreadsheet range: a sheet and a range of a model. The chart follows the spreadsheet's current version.
Name it, say what question it answers, save. The rows behind the picture stay one tab away.
Where charts go
Charts are what views are composed from and what insights are pinned to. Open a chart's About rail to see what it reads and which views and insights read it.
Faster with an agent — "chart the modeled market by region and year, and show it to me." The agent writes the query or picks the range, creates the chart, and shows it in the chat; it is in the workspace too.
